How to Fix Call of Duty: Warzone
Login Issues

If you can't log into Call of Duty: Warzone or keep getting kicked back to the login screen, follow these steps. First check whether Activision's servers are down — server outages are the most common cause of login failures.

Step-by-Step Fix

1
Check Battle.net server status
Visit us.support.blizzard.com or @BlizzardCS on Twitter. Warzone uses Battle.net authentication on PC, so auth outages affect all logins.
2
Restart the Battle.net client
Right-click the Battle.net icon in the system tray → Exit. Wait 30 seconds, then relaunch. This clears stale auth sessions that prevent logging in.
3
Clear Battle.net cache
Close Battle.net fully. Delete the "Cache" folder inside %programdata%\Battle.net\Agent\ on PC. Relaunch and attempt to log in again.
4
Check your Activision account link
Visit my.callofduty.com and ensure your console account or Battle.net account is correctly linked to your Activision account. Broken links cause login failures.
5
Disable VPN and proxy
Activision blocks VPN IP ranges. If you're using a VPN, disable it before launching Warzone. Proxy settings in Windows can also interfere with authentication.
6
Unlink and relink your platform account
At my.callofduty.com → Linked Accounts, unlink then re-link your PSN, Xbox, or Battle.net account. This resolves authentication token mismatches.
Is it server-side?
Check real-time player reports — if reports are spiking, it's on Activision's end, not yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I log into Warzone?

Warzone login failures are usually Battle.net authentication being down, a broken Activision account link, or a VPN blocking the connection. Check us.support.blizzard.com for server status, disable any VPN, and verify your account links at my.callofduty.com.

Warzone says "profile error" — what does that mean?

A profile error usually means Activision's servers couldn't retrieve your player data. Wait a few minutes and try again — it's almost always server-side. If it persists over hours, contact Activision support.

Why was I banned from Warzone?

Warzone uses the Ricochet anti-cheat system. False positives can occur but are rare. If you believe your ban is incorrect, submit an appeal at support.activision.com. Do not attempt to create a new account as that will result in a hardware ban.
